About Kraye Grymonnt

Born in Missoula, Montana on March 26, 1959. An Aries. Earth Boar in Chinese astrology. In Five Elements, I stack Earth, Water, Fire, Wood, and Metal.

My father joined the Foreign Service when I was 2 and until I graduated from high school, most of my life was spent overseas, primarily in Southeast Asia.

I've done a lot of things in my life: Lifeguard, Surveryor's Aide, Navy Corpsman, EMT, Hot Shot crew member, BA in Anthropology, Electronic Prepress, Phlebotomist, Paramedical Examiner, Hospice Volunteer, Waiter, Nurse's Aide, MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and completing the New Ventures West Coaching program.

Have always been interested in exploration, adventure, and what it is to be human. Well, let me clarify that. It's not just being human, it's how to take that understanding of what it is to be human and becoming "more," whatever "more" means. To me, it means being more intimate, more courageous, more in alignment with who I want to be rather than who I've been, more open, more accepting, and not being a puppet to my history.

I don't fit into any PC slots that I know about. I ask a lot of questions that probably aren't going to be asked in any kind of polite company. I am honestly interested in how people make sense of their lives. I am not looking to transcend being human.

I love good food and prefer honest peasant food than most haute cuisine. I like to be able to feel the chi of whoever made anything that I am using. I love to cook, especially for people and especially soups/stews. I love most every form of wheat (especially breads) and have gotten to a place where I recognize that gluten does not do good things to my body so it's a very rare treat.

I can be quite fierce, but mostly it's to drive a point home. I'm a largish person, 6' 2" and around 230 lbs. Personal heros are Chogyam Trungpa, Peace Pilgrim, and Fritz Perls.

Favorite books are: Any of Jed McKenna's books, The Presence Process, Stranger in a Strange Land, Ishmael, Thou Shalt not be Aware, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance, The Sandman, and Vagina. Movies? Ah, I love movies. There's a whole section to this site about movies. Check it out
